Test Shoes
A test shoe is a printed foil shell produced from a shoe last. It is not a separate design of its own. There is no test-shoe document you create from the New Document menu, and it has no design steps of its own.
You enable it on the last's Base step, and you produce it from the last's Export step, alongside the last itself.
Enabling a test shoe
In the shoe last Base step, under Foil (test shoe):

| Net stabilization | None / Short / Long: adds plantar ribs for a stable Net or Gross test shoe. Visible only once Foil (test shoe) is enabled. |
| Printer | Selects the printer used for the test shoe. Visible only once Foil (test shoe) is enabled and a Foil (test shoe) printer profile exists in Manager. |
Net and Gross
When you export or produce, you choose which product to make:

Producing a test shoe
The test shoe is handled from the shoe last Export step, alongside the last itself. Produce Now and Place in Production open the Select product picker, where you choose Foil (test shoe) - Net or Foil (test shoe) - Gross. Gross appears only once midsoles are enabled. Reopening a printed test shoe
A printed test shoe can be reopened as a shoe last: its shape is imported as a last pattern, letting you continue working from what was actually printed. This does not create a new document type. It creates an ordinary shoe last document.
