Connect an iFactory printer
This guide will walk you through the process of connecting your iFactory3D printer with LutraCAD software for seamless 3D printing operations.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have:
- An iFactory3D printer
- LutraCAD software installed on your computer
- Both printer and computer connected to the same network
Step 1: Locate Printer IP Address
On your iFactory3D printer:
- Navigate to the Home screen
- Select "Settings"
- Go to "Info"
- Locate the IP Address
IP Address Format
The IP address should look like: 192.168.178.65
- Do not include any ports
- Do not add http:// or https://
- Make sure to note down the exact address
Step 2: Configure LutraCAD
- Launch LutraCAD software
- Navigate to: Account > Settings > 3D Printer > Network Printers
- Click on "Add printer manually" button
- In the printer selection dialog, choose your iFactory3D model from the dropdown list
- Enter the printer IP Address you noted earlier
- Click "Select" to initiate the connection
- Fill in desired printer name
- Click on "Save" to complete the setup
Step 3: Verify Connection
When successfully connected, LutraCAD will be able to:
- Upload files directly to the printer
Troubleshooting
If you cannot establish a connection:
- Verify both devices are on the same network
- Check if the IP address is correct
- Ensure your firewall isn't blocking the connection
- Restart both the printer and LutraCAD if needed
