Measurements
The Measurements tab lets you compare foot girths against the last so you can dial in the fit. It is not a workflow step: it lives in the navigation panel and stays available while you design. When the last comes from a library last, a 3D scan, or an import, Measurements is available immediately. When a Union Last is used, it becomes available from step 2b.
The table shows one row per girth location, each with three columns.
| Girth row | Location |
|---|---|
| Ball | Widest part of the forefoot |
| Low Instep | Waist of the foot |
| High Instep | Instep |
| Heel | Around the heel |
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Foot | Foot girth, either entered manually or measured on the 3D scan of the foot |
| Last | Girth measured on the current shoe last |
| Difference | The difference between the foot and last girths, updated live as you edit |
Take or retake a girth
- Open the Measurements tab in the navigation panel.
- Find the girth row you want to check.
- Use the Edit button in the Foot or Last column to place the girth loop on the model.
- Read the Difference column to see how much allowance the last has over the foot.
The Difference value recalculates automatically while you adjust the last with the Modify tools, so you can shape toward a target allowance without re-measuring each time.
Leg height measurement
Click Add Leg Height Measurement to add a girth measurement at a specific height on the leg. You can add several, and set each one's height on the 2b Design tab. The measured girths appear in the Measurements tab.
