Choose your scanner
The first time you open Home the app asks which scanner you use. It asks once; afterwards you change it in Settings.
Scan mode
| Button | What it means |
|---|---|
| FaceID Camera | Scan with the TrueDepth camera in the device. |
| Structure Sensor | Scan with a Structure Sensor mounted on the iPad. |
If the device has no TrueDepth camera the question is skipped and Structure Sensor is selected for you.
Version
Only when you choose Structure Sensor:

|---|---|
| Structure 3 | The current sensor. |
| Legacy | The older sensor. Choosing Legacy switches the sensor to compatibility mode straight away. |

The first-start question calls the older sensor Legacy; Settings calls the same choice Structure Mark II. They are the same choice.
