Structure Sensor
Before your first scan the sensor has to be mounted, charged, updated and calibrated. That is the manufacturer's procedure: see Structure Sensor setup.
- In the order, tap + 3D Scan left or + 3D Scan right.
- The app asks Scan mode.
- The scan screen opens and the screen turns to landscape.
- Scan the foot, tap Finish, check the result and tap Save.
Scan mode
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Foot scan | One capture of the foot. |
| Foot- and foambox scan | Two captures in a row: the foot inside the impression box, and then the impression box. See Foot and foambox scan. |
| Cancel | Closes the question, nothing is scanned. |
There is no account check and no device check in this workflow. What you do get is the state of the sensor itself, in the middle of the scan screen: whether it is connected, awake, charged and calibrated.
The Structure Sensor only works on an iPad. On an iPhone the scan screen reports This application requires Structure Sensor. The same sentence is used whenever the selected scanner is unavailable, so read it as "the selected scanner is not available on this device".
Settings that apply
Structure Version and Gravity mode from Settings are applied at the moment the scan screen opens, so a change takes effect on your next scan without restarting the app. Choosing Structure Mark II restarts the sensor, which takes a moment.
